How to Travel for Free

Date Posted: Thursday, December 31, 2009

Who wouldn't like to travel for free? It is actually easier than you think.

Depending on the supplier there are group deals, even for small groups.  It all depends on the tour operator, the type of package and time of year.

The catch, you need a certain number of people to travel with you from the same starting point and going on the same tour.  Pretty easy if you are planning a family reunion tour or cruise, a group of friends celebrating a milestone like turning 40, 50 etc.

Also the free part refers to the tour package part and not airfare, however depending on the supplier and tour chosen airfare could be included too.

Examples: Adventure travel such as 8 people going to Costa Rica, one can travel with the land portion for free with one tour operator.  European tours usually need 16 people to go for one to be free.

Sometimes suppliers for a limited time will offer 2 for 1 deals – Trafalgar has one on at the moment.
