WINNIPEG, CANADA – Travel Professionals International (TPI), Canada’s largest network of independent travel consultants, announces the details of its 2010 Club Velocity Trip - a yearly reward given to its top travel consultants and their invited guests as a thank you for their continued sales success and commitment to TPI through its exclusive Velocity travel consultant rewards program.
Previously taking top associates to Dunn's River, Jamaica, Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and Barbados, TPI along with partners Celebrity Cruises and Air Canada Vacations will take top-tier Velocity travel consultants on a 10-day Mediterranean journey, including a 7-night cruise aboard the Celebrity Equinox, in September 2010. Upon arrival in Spain, associates will enjoy a guided tour of Barcelona before embarking on a luxurious cruise with ports of call in France, Italy, and Croatia.
"The Velocity trip is a reward I look forward to every year as it gives me time to network with my peers, preferred partners, and TPI staff in a relaxing and casual destination away from the busy day-to-day of the business," said Amanda Carter, a TPI Platinum-level Associate.
Built as both a motivational and incentive program, TPI Associates gain status in the various Velocity reward tiers through participation in TPI and TPI Preferred Partner functions (such as the TPI Annual Conference, Air Canada Vacations trainings, etc.), by receiving certifications and designations (such as those offered by CLIA, CITC, etc.), and by earning points through their yearly commission volumes.
In return for their acceptance into the various Velocity reward levels, Associates have access to such rewards as higher commission levels, and complimentary registration in a variety of TPI programs (such as the TPI Annual Conference), among other rewards.

Highlighting the Associate level celebrations is a special 100% commission day every month for fifteen months whereby TPI agents receive 100% commission on any booking they make on that specific day of the month – giving thousands of dollars back to agents as a celebration of TPI’s 15th anniversary and as a thank you for their commitment to their TPI businesses.

WINNIPEG, CANADA – Travel Professionals International (TPI), Canada’s largest network of independent travel consultants, sailed the Pacific Ocean aboard the Carnival Splendor, May 10-17, 2009, for the 2009 TPI Annual Conference, Connect for Success.
Over 120 Associates, industry partners, and TPI staff members took part in the 15th Anniversary kick-off conference that was originally intended to sail from Los Angeles to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas, but had its itinerary changed to Los Angeles to Victoria and Vancouver in the wake of the recent H1N1 outbreaks.
“While we were disappointed to have H1N1 detour our conference and cause us to miss out on inspecting some beautiful resorts in Mexico, the majority of our agents told us that they wanted to carry on with the new itinerary as they’re committed to the continued education and the further development opportunities that the conference provides for their business,” said Phil Sproul, TPI’s President.
In place of the site inspections in Mexican ports, Associates were able to take part in site inspections in Victoria and Vancouver, including high tea at The Empress Fairmont Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia.
Keynote speaker Nolan W. Burris, President and Chief Vision-eer, Visionistics Enterprises, Inc., energized conference attendees throughout the week with his sessions on taking advantage of technology and social media on the internet in order to connect with and sell more effectively to their clients. Agents also had the opportunity to further their industry designations through CLIA, CITC, and Sandals CSS events taking place onboard the cruise.
TPI President, Phil Sproul, updated conference attendees on the year that was for TPI as well as gave insight into the year ahead for the organization. Highlights of Sproul’s discussion included statistics detailing TPI’s continued positive growth despite economic uncertainty and the planned continuation of education and technology as major components of TPI’s innovation and growth over the coming 15th anniversary year of celebrations.
A further contingent of over 120 Associates took part in TPI’s first ever “Land Only Edition” of the annual conference – a live webinar that took place concurrently with the events onboard the ship during the opening day of the at-sea conference and launch of the 15th anniversary celebrations.
Connect for Success was generously sponsored by TPI Preferred Partners, including Sunquest/Holiday Network/Encore CruiseEscapes/ALBATours/Intair/FunSun Vacations, RBC Insurance, Signature Vacations, Transat Holidays, Trafalgar Tours/Insight Vacations/Contiki Holidays, Carnival Cruise Lines, Sandals & Beaches, Royal Caribbean International/Celebrity Cruises/Azamara Cruises, Air Canada Vacations, WestJet Vacations, Holland America, GAP Adventures, Alio, Air Canada, and WestJet, respectively.
