Hi Yvonne,
Yes, we enjoyed the resort. We completely lucked out with the weather which of course set the tone for the holiday. The kids loved the archery, the pool table, the tennis, the kayaking, pedal boats, snorkeling, the huge pool, ping pong, the large chess boards, volleyball (pool and beach) basketball, water polo and of course the swim up bar! The kids did well with the buffets and some of the a la carte restaurants but more so loved the ice cream hut by the beach!
There was never problem getting chairs by the pool and the beach which was real treat not having to save chairs as soon as the sun rises. I am not sure if this is always the case but it was nice. There was also an awesome coffee hut that served lattes, cappichinos, espresso etc with and without alcohol- so yes, we ended each day with a great latte and baileys!
Over all is was a very relaxing and much enjoyed holiday! Thanks for your help.
A satisfied family!

The OCCIDENTAL ROYAL HIDEAWAY ENSENACHOS-CAYO SANTA MARIA, CUBA-HONEYMOOM PARADISE
The resort was fantastic and the concerierge was amazing! It is the perfect resort if you just want to do nothing! The weather was great at 25 degrees and a little windy.
One thing we really liked was that the crowd was in their 30's and 40's, so you avoid the belligerent drunks running around ruining your vacation.
The restaurants were good. They had an Italian, (which was amazing), seafood, Asian, Creole (local) and a Grill restaurant. With Air Transat Holidays, you get dinner at 4 of them, so the only we did not try was the Asian. All of them were good. Neither of us got sick, which was amazing since both of us are prone to that.
The beach was long and white with a fair amount of chairs. You could walk for a while one way down the beach which was nice. The service there was second to none. Honestly, we felt a little awkward at first because it just didn't seem right but once we got used to it, it was great. When you are at the beach or the pool, they have staff that will come around and take food and drink orders and bring them directly to your chair.
They have a dress cose which they enforce in the main building. You have to be wearing shirts and pants in the evening (jeans are okay) and you are never allowed to wear bathing suits in the main building. It is nice because it stays a little more classy that way. They have a 24 hour lounge bar which is convenient if you get in late or are up late and still want to go for a drink. It is a piano bar and there is someone playing each night.
They also have a theatre in the main building. We did not end up seeing any shows and just hung out on our balcony. It was so quiet, peaceful and serence.
The rooms are laid out in bungalows (octagonal shaped buildings that are two floors with an open courtyard in the middle, like a donut). Outside our balcony you could only see trees so that was very private. Many of them are private, but some more than others.
Every bungalow has their own concierge which is available from 9-5ish, Cuban time. They will look after your dinners for you and if you are missing anything or have any questions or request, they can answer them, and if they do not know, they will find out. Our conceirge was amazing. Her English wasn't perfect, but I was impressed with how good it was. There was very little of a communication barrier with her.
Because the resort is fairly big (in terms of land and how it is laid out) they have 24 hour bellboy service. They will come and pick you up on their gold carts and bring you where-ever you want to go. It was really nice for the seafood restaurant because it was a little farther away. Since our room was in the middle of the resort, we could walk t most places and not be out of breath!
They also had 24 hour room service which was nice. We ordered hamburgers and hot dogs and it was not a problem. They have a decent selection of "American/Canadian" food so there is always something to eat that you will like.
Everybody there was soooo nice!!! I couldn't believe it!!! If we were to go back to Cuba, I would go there again. I would recommend the resort 100% to anyone. If you are looking for a party resort or want to go into town or something, go somewhere else. This is a quiet secluded resort, perfect for peace and relaxation.

Palma Real Hotel-Varadero, Cuba
We had a wonderful time in Cuba! The Palma Real actually exceeded our expectations. The location was great, the rooms were nice and clean, the staff was attentive and friendly, and the beach was amazing! There was a good variety of food and they had a pizza place you could go to anytime as well as 2 a la cartes. There was a 'hop on and off' bus that ran the whole peninsula for 5 pesos a day, we were in walking distance of shops, and there were plenty of excursion choices. It seems to be a popular place as it was full when we were there and we had to get to the beach before 10:00 am if we wanted a beach chair. That was really not a problem, because you could claim one before you went to breakfast. There were plenty of activities available at the resort also.
We found your list of tips very helpful in planning our trip!
Gracias!

Bahia Principe-Club Diamond Section-Punta Cana
Hi Yvonne! We had an amazing time. The foold fantastic and the room fantastic-no complaints!! We were entertained every night with awesome shows and relaxed everyday by the Club Diamond Pool. I think that our room villa was the best location as we walked out and the pool area was right there. We felt central to everything. The best part for me especially was the size of the resort because I do enjoy walking a lot and never took the trolley once. So for us that was our preference. We even had our own photo shoot on the beach, for $10.00 per picture but something well worth it for the opportunity.

Hi Yvonne,
Just thought I would send you a quick note about our trip. The hotel was great, I would stay there again. Nice location, not many people used the pool, if it had been warmer maybe we would too. We used it twice and it was nice. The Continental Breakfast was very good. I had it almost every day. It saved us quite a bit of money and it was very big with great choices. The kids loved the kids suite and it gave us some separation as well. So if you want to recommend it t anyone, it wasn't the Hilton or anything but is suited us nicely.
I think we enjoyed Bush Gardens the best. We spent most of our time there or at Seaworld.
Thanks for all your hard work, we look forward to doing business in the future.

Hello Yvonne,
The resort that we went to was amazing!! I can not even describe how beautiful the Grand Riviera Princess was. The resort was immaculate, and landscaping was beautiful. The staff was very friendly, and we did not have any complaints. They did give us a room with two double beds rather then one queen, and had no rooms for us to transfer too, but we didn't let it bother us.
Having the pool access from our room was so handy. I was nice because you didn't have to lug all your pool stuff with you everywhere, you could just leave it on the porch and go back to it when needed.
The Mayan Riviera is a very nice place. We went into town one day and really enjoyed all the shops, and got some really neat things. We also went swimming with dolphins, and snorkeling in a Cenote (under water cave), and with sea turtles. Those were all amazing experiences and worth the money!
Our food was delicious. We would have been content eating at the buffet every day because it had so much variety. We did get to enjoy 4 of the 7 al la carte restaurants. The Japanese was the best, and we were a little disappointed with the Italian, but over all it was fantastic.
Drinks were great, beach was nice, and there was great entertainment ever night. Every night they had two different types of entertainment, and they were really enjoyable.
We would recommend this resort to anyone, and would go back there if we could in a heartbeat.
Thank you for all of your help in finding us a perfect honeymoon.
