Dear WestJet guests, Please be advised that WestJet will begin charging $20 for a second checked bag effective November 3, 2010, for travel starting January 19, 2011. WestJet’s revised baggage acceptance policy allows one piece of baggage at no charge as long as it does not exceed a maximum weight of 23 kg (50 lb.) and a maximum size of 157 cm (62 in.) in length + width + height at no charge. If you have purchased a WestJet flight prior to November 3, 2010, this fee will not apply to you. You will be permitted up to two pieces of checked baggage at no charge as long as they do not exceed the size and weight dimensions mentioned above. Thanks WestJet
