“Hi, this was our first trip with Sunwing and we have no complaints concerning the airline (except for the fact that they changed the flight times after we booked with a stop in Saint John) They had free hot meals which you don't get any more. The resort is very large, but since we upgraded to Royal Section, we were very pleased with our accommodations, private pool, bar (2) and restaurant and private check-in, where they also exchanged our Cnd $ into Cuban pesos. They also book 3 a la carts for you, but you can eat every night in the international restaurant if you are in the Royal Section. Being Cuba, towels are at a premium and toilet paper as well. The food in the buffet style restaurants was mediocre, again you're in Cuba. You don't go to Cuba for the food! The beach was narrow but lots of palapas for shade, the water was beautiful, clean and clear. We went to the Michael Jackson show on Friday night and it was fabulous. There is not a lot of activities like we are used to at the Sandals resorts (theme nights etc.) We did a day trip into Havana - would highly recommend it. We also went into Varadero for the day - shopping at the market and sightseeing. The price is right so if you want sun, beach, and to relax for a week, that is the place to go for sure. There were a lot of families there as well, so a lot of young children, even in the Royal Section. ”

“This past October my family and I had the privilege of vacationing in Florida at Caribbean Beach resort and also spent a week aboard the Disney ship the Dream! And it truly was a dream to say the least, a dream that almost turned into a complete night mare just hours after we left St. John�fs. But thanks to Charlene a crisis was averted! After months of planning this vacation with Charlene�fs help it had finally all come together! She was very helpful in every area of booking our vacation from travel to dining to choosing activities and entertainment! She is very eager to please and if she didn�ft know the answer to a question it wasn�ft long before she found one! I am the kind of person who likes to plan things on my own, especially vacations, but Charlene was right there whenever I needed guidance and had very helpful advice when asked. I appreciated her genuine concern for the quality of our family vacation and all of her efforts to make sure we were getting the best bang for our buck!! The day before leaving on our trip Charlene called to see if we had any last minute concerns and if there was anything else we needed. She wished us a fabulous holiday and wasn�ft expecting to hear from us until at least 2 weeks or more. To her and our surprise we desperately needed help on our way to Florida so she heard from us much sooner then she thought! After we arrived in Newark we had been switched to several different flights due to weather conditions and finally as we are taxing out the runway we were sent back and informed that the airport was shutting down due to the �gstorm.�h Well the entire airport was in a huge state of confusion and people and luggage was going everywhere! It actually was a very scary experience and keep in mind I was travelling with a six month oldand a six year old. At this point the next flight out was in over 24hrs and we would have missed our departure for the Dream. That wasn�ft the worst actually�cthe airline was of no assistance to us and they had misplaced our luggage and wasn�ft providing accommodations for any of the passengers. The chaos was very overwhelming and we couldn�ft find a hotel room anywhere or find anyone to help us rebook a flight to make our cruise. In desperation I called Charlene to see if see could help from her end and sure enough she performed some MAGIC!! She booked us another flight out in the morning and found us a hotel room! Despite the fact that myself and the children didn�ft get to the hotel room till after midnight and spent over 10 hrs roaming an airport, our luggage still lost, and having to borrow pampers from a complete stranger I was forever greatful!! When we arrived at the room I received a call from Charlene just making sure we were all ok! Sleep deprived and very dirty, we made the ship the next day with only minutes to spare but what a relief!! Thanks to Charlene we were able to brush off the terrible experience and continue on to have a magical family vacation! I can�ft begin to tell you how much we appreciated having someone as caring and dedicated as Charlene on our side. It made the difference between a nightmare and a very Magical Dream! I can understand now why the business name is Magical Trips, haha! There were a few lessons to be learned from this entire experience. First, booking through a travel agent as caring as Charlene could make or break your vacation�cthings that you never imagine happening to you is always a possibility. Second, pack more than just shorts and flip flops in your carry on when travelling somewhere warm in the winter and take LOTS of pampers, lol!! Thank you again Charlene! “Disney was the first family vacation we had ever taken as a family of 5, and the first time we had left Canada! So needless to say I was terrified of messing something up- so rather than try to struggle with flight and hotel bookings, I decided an agent would be best. I am so thankful I found Charlene- she is an absolute angel! She went above and beyond to make this experience was as easy on me as possible, and thanks to her, I had no stress beyond getting us all to the airport on time, lol! She took care of flights, hotels, park passes…..even put me in touch with her favorite taxi driver in Orlando, and brought by a little something for each of my kids to take on the plane!! And to top it all off, she got us an amazing price on the full deal; we stayed at a fabulous resort, and had the trip of a lifetime! “We had a wonderful timeat The Barcelo Bavaro Palace in Puna Cana - this hotel has it all! It was absolutely stunning, the decor was breath taking, amazing pools and beautiful (clean) beaches. This hotel is extremely clean. The rooms were nice however the bathrooms (tub area) is in need of some updating because of some mold issues. We went golfing several times durning our stay, curtis really enjoyed the challenging course (bring lots of balls as there is lots of water) and even though I'm not an avid golfer I too enjoyed the course because of its beauty and the wild life. The staff at the course were exceptional and we enjoyed some of our favorite lunch meals there. We stayed mostly in the adults only area which was a great choice for us this trip. however because we had such a great experience we venture over to the kids club to scope things out for our next family trip. We were extremely pleased with the activities, kids pools, water parks and life size pirate ship! There was endless choices of delicious foods to choose from. The buffets were almost overwhelming, we found it hard not to overfill our plates! The fine dining was exceptional with the exception of the Spanish restaurant where the service was terrible. We enjoyed the Japanese so much we went twice. Thanks again for Booking us on this wonderful vacation! I will be in touch to book our family trip. ”
